The £100m extension to the Scrappage Scheme was welcomed by everyone in the struggling UK motor industry. But we have particular reason to celebrate...Hyundai sold more cars in September than we have sold in any other month. Hyundai has also beaten our previous annual record sales total of 37,611, racking up 40,578 so far this year. Managing Director of Hyundai, Tony Whitehorn explained "we could have sold twice as many in September but simply ran out of cars and time".
As a whole the UK saw new car sales boosted 11.4% compared to the same time last year, also marking the third consecutive monthly increase in registrations
